Alex Andarakis
Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Omniyat Properties
Mr. Alex Andarakis joined Omniyat Property Holdings on 1st September 2008. He has more than 22 years of Sales, Marketing and General Management experience acquired at both foreign and local multi national companies, as well as experience working in Australasia, Africa, Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Omniyat Property Holdings he was working for Emaar Properties, a firm listed on the Dubai Financial Market and the largest property development and lifestyle company in the region. At Emaar, Mr. Andarakis was the Executive Director, Sales and Marketing for the group on a worldwide basis, and covered all of their business segments including property development, hotels and hospitality, education, healthcare, malls and retail divisions. Prior to joining Emaar, Mr. Andarakis was the CEO of Aujan Industries, the largest independent beverages and confectionery manufacturer and distributor within the Middle East and Iran, a role he assumed after more than 16 years with Unilever.
Mr. Andarakis graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from The University of New South Wales, Australia as well as completing The General Management Program, and the Senior Real Estate Executive Program at The Harvard Business School, in which he is an alumni. He is a leading reference point for the development of Marketing and Leadership capabilities within the region, having been a feature writer with Arabian Business Magazine, as well as a judge for the Arabian Business Awards, Asian Businessman Awards, and IAA Advertising Awards over the past 4 years. Mr. Andarakis is an Austrlian of Greek descent, and is fluent in both English and Greek.
