Peter Walichnowski
Chief Executive Officer, Omniyat Properties
In his role as Chief Executive Officer for Omniyat Properties, Peter Walichnowski leads Omniyat’s real estate group and will spearhead its expansion plans both in the UAE and internationally.
He joins Omniyat, having held senior management positions in a number of leading property companies around the world.
His last position was Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Skylan Group, a private real estate company, which has operations in China, Japan and South Korea. Skylan’s first project is the largest mixed use commercial project in Korea (Seoul) with a total development cost of over $2.5 bn.
Peter Walichnowski’s experience in establishing and running real estate enterprises has been established through various positions that he held prior to joining Omniyat Properties.
Mr. Walichnowski was CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Investments in Dubai where he led the growth of the Company across the MENA region including the development of “Mall of the Emirates” which is the most successful retail and leisure centre in the Middle East.
Walichnowski started his career with Lend Lease Corporation in which he held senior positions over a span of 19 years. He also contributed to the growth and success of Land Securities PLC -an FTSE 100 company- through his role as a Director of Strategy and Business Development and as a Main Board Director.
Mr. Walichnowski will drive Omniyat’s vision of becoming one of the most respected property companies in the world by delivering projects which set new international benchmarks.
